Wauwatosa, WI (August 3, 2026) – A 21-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries late Friday night, July 31, after a wrong-way driver struck her vehicle on Mayfair Road.
Police said the crash began around 11:58 p.m. when a Ford F-250 traveling the wrong way on Mayfair Road sideswiped another vehicle. The truck then struck a Pontiac Vibe near Mayfair Road and Watertown Plank Road, causing it to roll over.
The Milwaukee woman driving the Pontiac was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition. The 46-year-old Eagle man driving the truck fled the site but was later arrested and faces multiple charges, including OWI causing injury.
