Gov. Scott Walker signed a Bill in April of 2016, which makes a fourth drunken driving offense a FELONY regardless of when it has been committed. This law will go into effect as of January 1st of 2017, currently a fourth drunk driving offense is only a felony if it has been committed within five years of the third offense.
This law also changes the maximum sentences:
OWI/DUI- 5th & 6th offenses: from 3 years to 5 years jail time.
OWI/DUI- 7th, 8th, & 9th offenses: from 5 years to 7.5 years jail time.
OWI/DUI- 10th & any subsequent offenses: from 7.5 years to a full decade behind bars.
