If any of the following apply to you:
•You have a municipal court warrant from the City of Milwaukee
•A driver’s license suspension, or
•A car registration suspension
YOU CAN LIFT THOSE WARRANTS WITH THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE, WITHOUT A DOWN PAYMENT AND YOU WON’T GET ARRESTED!
The Milwaukee Municipal Court system is launching a new pilot program to have your warrant or suspension lifted. The only exceptions are zoning and building code violations. All you must do is show up to court and your warrant/suspension will be lifted and no down payment will be required.
There are currently more than 100,000 outstanding municipal warrants in the City of Milwaukee. These individuals face the threat of arrest, losing their driver’s license, debt from tickets or even unemployment due to their status. Many of these warrants arise from individuals not paying their fines on time, which could be considered a relatively innocent offense. Three Milwaukee Municipal Court judges, the Honorable Judge Derek Mosely, Judge Phillip Chavez and Judge Valarie Hill have stated that no one will be arrested. This program is to give people peace of mind and get them on the right track. All you have to do is show up on the court dates listed below!
This pilot program will take place:
November 2nd, November 9th and November 16th.
Hours are: 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. — and 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
